The DA has called for transparency on all the funds that the department of sport, arts and culture spent in April after it splashed almost R11 million in incentives to Grammy Award winners early this year.

The department hosted a Celebrating Our Own gala dinner to honour South Africa’s past and present Grammy Award winners – individuals and groups – who walked away with incentives totaling R10.7 million.
