The Cape Agency For Sustainable Integrated Development In Rural Areas (Casidra) has issued a tender for the supply and installation of a borehole pump with fittings and a solar system to provide electricity for a pump near Bitterfontein, Western Cape.
The works, as described, are situated close to Bitterfontein, Western Cape, close to the Northern Cape border. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 10 days of appointment.
Bitterfontein has a hot, dry, arid climate, characterised by very hot summers and mild, but potentially cold winters with very little rainfall. It normally receives about 673mm of rain per year, and because it receives most of its rainfall during winter, it has a Mediterranean climate.
