Cupid gets female condom variant UNFPA prequalified to supply 100% of upcoming South Africa tender
Earlier, Cupid Limited had been eligible to supply 75% of the contract for female condoms in previous tenders
Cupid Limited, India’s premier manufacturer and brand of male and female condoms, water based personal lubricants, IVD kits, deodorants, perfumes, almond hair oil, body oils, petroleum jelly and other FMCG Products, has received prequalification for its Brown Caramel female condom variant from the UNFPA.
Thisprequalification makes Cupid Limited eligible to supply 100% of the contract for female condoms in the upcoming RT75-2025 South African government tender which is for a duration of 5 years with bids closing on 31st January, 2025.
Earlier, Cupid Limited had been eligible to supply 75% of the contract for female condoms in previous tenders which were for shorter durations of 3 years at a time.
Aditya Halwasiya, Managing Director, Cupid Limited said, “This is a great shot in the arm for us, we have capable partners in South Africa to maximize orders for Cupid in the upcoming tender.”
“It is a dynamic tender with an estimated annual requirement of 1 billion units of male condoms and 40 million units of female condoms and Cupid will work closely with all stakeholders in South Africa to supply both male and female condoms to our maximum potential,” added Halwasiya.
