Eskom has issued a tender for the design, supply, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a solar PV plant with a capacity of up to 72MW for Komati Power Station.
Deadline: 13 February 2025
The EPC Contractor will survey, design, engineer, manufacture, procure and supply all materials and labour; deliver to the site; offload materials; construct, erect and install the system; conduct off-site and on-site testing; commission the system; and perform performance testing.
The contractor will also provide samples and prepare all detailed design drawings, as-built record drawings, and maintenance manuals and instructions for a solar PV single-axis tracker system with a maximum export capacity of 72MWac, including a minimum 18-month plant operation and maintenance service and the associated Network Integration Equipment (NIE) at Eskom Komati Power Station.
The project will be executed over four continuous land parcels, all within close proximity, as indicated below.
The yellow and blue PV trackers indicated the potential development areas, with responsibility for the final layout still remaining with the contractor.

The EPC contractor shall provide full turn-key engineering, procurement and construction services for a new-build solar PV facility which will be situated near the town of Komati in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.
