The Geothermal Development Company Limited of Kenya is inviting sealed tenders from eligible candidates for the connection of additional wells to the Menengai 105MWe Steam Gathering System. 

Deadline: 3 October 2024 at 11am local time

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the tender document from the office of Manager, Supply Chain at Kawi House, South C, off Mombasa Road, Red Cross Road between 9am and 4pm during week days. 

A complete set of the tender documents may be obtained by interested firms upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KSh1,000 (around $7.75) payable to GDC’s accounts office in cash or by banker’s cheque. 

The documents can also be viewed and downloaded from the website www.gdc.co.ke or PPIP Portal www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. 

Bidders who download the tender document from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to [email protected] for records and any further tender clarifications and addenda. 

The completed tenders in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with Tender No. and Tender reference name; shall be addressed to:

It is to be deposited in the tender box at Ground Floor GDC office Kawi House, South C Off Mombasa Road, Red Cross Road on or before the date specified above.

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend at Kawi House, South C GDC Board Room Ground Floor. Late tenders will not be accepted.

*The GDC is also inviting applicants to tender for the supply and delivery of scientific equipment for Geothermal Resource Assessment. The deadline is 25 September 2024 at 11am. The application process is the same as above.

GDC is a fully government-owned company and was formed in 2008 as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
