The Stellenbosch municipality has issued a tender for energy efficient interventions, including streetlights and building lighting and grid-tied PV (two X 40kVA) at Paradyskloof Water Treatment Works.

A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on 25 November 2024 at 11:00 at the Electricity Department Boardroom, Ecclesia Building, 2nd Floor, 71 Plein Street, Stellenbosch. Bidders who fail to attend the compulsory information session will be regarded as non-compliant.
Bids will be opened in the Council Chambers or Supply Chain Management Boardroom.
The following CIDB class of construction works will be applicable to the tender, in accordance with the sum tendered or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, 2004 (as amended) as of 23 May 2019. It is estimated that bidders should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 4EP/EB or higher.

Tenders may only be submitted on the tender document issued by Stellenbosch Municipality and must be valid for 180 days after tender closing. Late, electronic format, telephonic, or faxed tenders will not be considered, and Stellenbosch Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest bid or any of the tenders that have been submitted.
Sealed tenders with “ENERGY EFFICIENT INTERVENTIONS IN STELLENBOSCH MUNICIPAL AREA, INCLUDING STREETLIGHTS & BUILDING LIGHTING AND GRID-TIED PV (TWO X 40 KVA) AT PARADYSKLOOF WATER TREATMENT WORKS,” clearly endorsed on the envelope, must be deposited in the tender box at the offices of the Stellenbosch Municipality, Town House Complex, Plein Street, Stellenbosch. The tender box is accessible 24 hours a day, and tenders must be accompanied by the completed tender documents.
