Nearly three years after the government blew R118 million on a vacant piece of prime land that didn’t exist, millions more are being spent on upgrading diplomatic facilities across the world.

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Naledi Pandor has revealed that millions will be spent on renovating South Africa’s missions.

Responding to a written parliamentary question from IFP MP Mkhuleko Hlengwa, Pandor said service providers were appointed through open bids – request quotations and open tender – depending on the value of the project.
